Trey Woods works on the firm's first and third party property, casualty and liability coverage and defense cases, at the primary and excess levels. These include environmental claims, including class actions; defense of personal injury claims arising out of construction, industrial, highway, and automotive accidents; defense of construction defect and design defect claims, and subrogation prosecution.

Trey leads the firms' efforts with respect to the BP litigation matters handled by the firm.

Trey has experience managing all aspects of numerous personal injury, wrongful death, insurance, and commercial contract dispute cases on both the plaintiff and defense side from initial client interview to trial. Trey worked two years as a Common Benefit attorney on the BP MDL under the co-liaison counsel. For the BP MDL, provided support to the trial team creating trial exhibits and prepping expert witnesses, provided support on expert reports, became the point person for process safety evidence and research, drafted the current form of the evidence litigation packet, and provided support to numerous depositions all while extensively participating in one of the largest document review projects ever performed. Trey provided document review and support work on Pool Products MDL, Chinese Drywall MDL and Tylenol MDL along with Asbestos litigation. Expert knowledge of the BP Settlement Program. Provided oral and written opinions for the Settlement program’s current policy decisions and to the Third Party Seafood Neutral on multiple issues and interpretations. Expertise in latest trends in social media law. Organized and attended all of the expert examinations of the explosion site while preserving relevant evidence, developing the theories of liability and performing duties as expert liaison for a plaintiff group in the West Texas Fertilizer Explosion litigation. Founder and President for the Red Shoe Society of New Orleans, sitting on the Board of the Ronald McDonald House and serving as Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children in Orleans Parish.
